Tennis player Radu Albot qualified for the quarterfinals at the ATP tournament in Seoul

Moldovan tennis player Radu Albot continues his successful evolution at the ATP tournament in Seoul. Our compatriot qualified for the quarter-finals of the competition in South Korea, according to Moldova 1.

Radu defeated the American Steve Johnson in the round of 16 in two sets that reached a tie-break. The Moldovan, number 91 in the world, prevailed with a double 7-6, in a match that lasted almost two hours.

In the quarter-finals, Radu Albot will face the representative of Canada, Denis Shapovalov, the number four favourite of the competition and at the same time, the world number 24.

The prize pool of the Seoul tournament is one million 117 thousand dollars, and the champion will collect 170 thousand.
