Public Broadcasting Institution "Teleradio-Moldova" (TRM) is the public service of broadcasting and television in the Republic of Moldova, operating according to the regulations stipulated in the Audiovisual Media Services Code of the Republic of Moldova. As an institution serving the public interest, the Company ensures fair, equidistant and impartial information of all categories of citizens throughout the Republic of Moldova and abroad, respecting political balance, freedom of expression and pluralism of opinion. Radio and television programs, web materials promote the values of national heritage, the achievements of culture, science, national and international civilization, making and disseminating cognitive and entertainment programs for children, young people and adults. The editorial policy of the Company is based on democratic values, supports the cultivation of human dignity, civic spirit and national unity. "Teleradio-Moldova" develops its diversification and efficiency potential by guiding itself by credibility, responsibility, perseverance and creativity.

International partners


"Teleradio - Moldova" has been a member of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) since 1994. The Company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with DW (Deutsche Welle) and co-operation agreements with EuroNews, TRT (Turkish Radio and Television Corporation), TVR (Romanian Television Society), SRR (Romanian Radio Broadcasting Corporation) from Belarus, Radio-Television of Ukraine, BNT (Bulgarian National Television), LRT (Lithuanian Teleradio Company).


Historic


"Teleradio - Moldova" started its activity between 1940-1941 when the radio services were part of the Radio and Broadcasting Committee alongside the People Soviet Commissars of Soviet Socialist Republic of Moldova (RSSM). The first TV show appeared in 1958. The volume of broadcast increased from 2-3 hours a day to 24 hours in 2007.Between 1957 and 1989, television and radio broadcasting functioned in various Committees of the RSSM, while in 1990 it became National Radiotelevision. The State Company "Teleradio-Moldova" operated for a period of ten years (1994-2004), afterwards, following the adoption of the law on the national public audiovisual institution, radio and television were declared public. As of August 1, 2004, "Teleradio-Moldova" State Company has been granted the status of the National Public Broadcasting Institution "Teleradio-Moldova".
