Republic of Moldova to import firewood from Romania
The Republic of Moldova could import firewood from Romania, if the internal reserves are insufficient, said Prime Minister Natalia Gavriliţa, while on a working visit to Călăraşi, reports Radio Moldova.
Natalia Gavriliţa's visit began at the Călăraşi District Council, where a meeting was held with representatives of local public authorities where current problems and future priorities were discussed, in terms of providing the population with wood.
The Prime Minister gave assurances that at the moment the wood stocks are sufficient, and in case of necessity there is also the option to purchase wood from Romania.
"We banned the sale among intermediaries, we limited the number for one household. We will look for additional wood. We have signals that we will be able to procure from Romania and we will continue to discuss how we can make the process more efficient", said Natalia Gavriliţa.
During the trip, the Prime Minister also visited the Business Incubator in Călăraşi where she talked with economic agents, and later she moved to the Călăraşi forestry service.
