Moldova's representative at Eurovision 2022 will be appointed after the LIVE hearings
The Organizing Committee of the National Selection decided to nominate the representative of the Republic of Moldova to the International Competition Eurovision Song Contest 2022 (ESC) after the second stage: "LIVE Hearings". The decision was taken after consulting the members of the jury and in accordance with the provisions of the Rules for organizing the National Selection, reports TRM.MD.
According to a press release, "the Organizing Committee notes the impossibility of organizing and broadcasting the final stages on TV in connection with the epidemiological situation in the country and the significant increase, lately, in the number of COVID-19 infections."
The stage of the LIVE hearings will take place on Saturday, January 29, starting at 14:00, at the Moldova 1 TV and will be broadcast live on Moldova 2 TV. According to the organizers, participants and media representatives must present the COVID-19 certificate to enter the headquarters of the TV studio.
We remind you that 29 songs were admitted to the National Selection. 28 performers participate in the competition. One of the artists will perform two songs.

The 66th edition of the Eurovision 2022 International Competition will take place on May 10-14, 2022 in Turin, Italy.
The Republic of Moldova has been participating in the ESC since 2005. In that year, our country, represented by the band "Zdob şi Zdub", placed sixth. The band "SunStroke Project" obtained the best result in 2017, ranking third in this competition, reports TRM.MD.
