The inanimate bodies of the victims of the accident in Ukraine will be brought to the country today

Repatriation of the lifeless bodies following the accident in the Vinitsa region (Ukraine) on the morning of February 8 is to be carried out today. The identity of the deceased was established. All procedures for bringing deceased people home are carried out by the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) and the consular service.

According to the IGSU, IGSU officers are in Ukraine and carry out all necessary procedures to repatriate the dead bodies. At the same time, IGSU employees communicate with those responsible within the medical institution where the traumatized people are interned. At the moment, four people remain hospitalized, whose condition is stable. Upon discharge, the IGSU will organize their safe transportation to the Republic of Moldova.

The relatives of the people who suffered in the accident near the Vinitsa region are informed and the IGSU psychologists work with them. Procedures for crossing the country's border are handled by the Border Police General Inspectorate.

At the request of the Government of the Republic of Moldova, a Crisis Cell was created at IGSU for the management of the situation following the accident involving the citizens of the Republic of Moldova. According to information provided by the State Service for Emergency Situations in Ukraine, three people, a 26-year-old woman and a man and a 44-year-old man have died, and four others have suffered various traumas.
