This weekend, the Republic of Moldova moves to daylight saving time, so three o'clock will become four o'clock. The change will take place for the last time, after in 2019, the European Commission proposed to give up the seasonal change of time for all member states, and the Government of Chisinau joined the decision, Moldova 1 reports.
Specialists in medicine and psychology claim that this phenomenon affects in one way or another the productivity and general condition of people.
According to health professionals, changing the time can confuse us, but the body will adapt for a week.
"Sleep disorders cause us a state of confusion, rhythm disorders, especially patients with cardiovascular disease are more affected and are at risk of developing strokes. Walks in the fresh air, regardless of the weather outside and of course the diet is rich in fruits and vegetables," says the family doctor Aurelia Donescu.
"We have to be psychologically prepared that we will have to wake up in the morning and look at these things in a positive way, but we must not say 'woe to me, I have to get up an hour earlier in the morning' and we go to bed more agitated in the evening. Let's do this every day and for a week we get back to normal." Psychologist Svetlana Gorea claims.
The Republic of Moldova first switched to summer time in 1979.
