Protest in front of the Parliament organized by the trade unionists
Trade unionists are protesting in front of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, demanding that the annual award for public servants not be excluded. People gathered at the protest chanted "solidarity in unions", "we want fair wage rights", "we want decent wages", "we want to be heard", "if you want to be voted, don't betray us". In the meantime, several members of the CNSM went to the meeting of the Committee on Economy, Budget and Finance to discuss with deputies, members of the commission, on this subject.
The National Confederation of Trade Unions of Moldova (CNSM) expresses its concern over the Government's decision to deprive public employees of the annual award and calls for the necessary financial resources to be identified for the more than 100,000 employees. At a news conference on December 5, they announced that they would hold a protest if their demands were not heard.
According to CNSM, during the Government meeting of December 3, 2021, opinions were approved on the amendments to the draft State Budget Law for 2022 and the fiscal budget policy for 2022, which stipulate that the annual award for employees in the budget sector for 2020 will not be paid.
So far, the authorities have not responded to the unionists' demands.
