The Association Agreement of the Republic of Moldova to the EU Program for Environment and Climate Policies was signed in Chisinau
The Association Agreement of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union (EU) Program for environment and climate policies was signed today in Chisinau. The document was signed by Prime Minister Natalia Gavriliţa and the European Commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries, Virginijus Sinkevičius. Natalia Gavriliţa emphasized the importance of this program.
"This program will help us implement projects with innovative techniques and best practices in the field of the environment and climate change that will contribute to the development of a circular, resilient and climate-neutral economy. Thus, it will result in the ecological rehabilitation of the environment", said the prime minister.
The total budget of the LIFE European environmental program for the 2021-2027 funding period is 5.43 billion euros, funds that will be accessible by potential beneficiaries from the Republic of Moldova. Natalia Gavriliţa stated that both public and private institutions can participate in this program.
