MAEIE hosts the meeting of the ambassadors of the Republic of Moldova in Chisinau
The ambassadors of the Republic of Moldova are meeting today in Chisinau during an event organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MAEIE). The meeting with the generic "Diplomacy of the Republic of Moldova in the context of regional opportunities and challenges" aims to examine the topics regarding the implementation of our country's foreign policy and establish new tasks and assess the activity of diplomatic missions. A priority on the agenda is also the problems faced by the diaspora, reports Radio Moldova.
Also, the next steps will be discussed in terms of offering the status of a candidate country for accession to the EU to the Republic of Moldova, as well as the realisation of the Implementation Plan of the 9 recommendations proposed by the European Commission.
The agenda of the event includes meetings of the heads of missions with the President Maia Sandu, the President of the Parliament Igor Grosu, other leaders of the state institutions.
As special guests, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Romania, Ukraine and Turkey will participate via video conference. The European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement and the Director of the Economic Diplomacy Department of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs will also participate.
Agenda evenimentului include întâlniri a şefilor de misiuni cu preşedinta Maia Sandu, preşedintele Parlamentului Igor Grosu, alţi conducători ai instituţiilor de stat.
În calitate de invitaţi speciali, vor participa cu intervenţii în regim de videoconferinţă, miniştrii Afacerilor Externe ai României, Ucrainei şi Turciei. De asemenea, vor participa comisarul european pentru vecinătate şi extindere şi directorul Departamentului diplomaţie economică din cadrul Ministerului Afacerilor Externe al Franţei.
