A refugee organized an evening with traditional Ukrainian dishes for the residents of Chisinau
They discovered traditional Ukrainian cuisine at a charity event. We are talking about several residents of Chisinau who participated in a gastronomic evening in support of the Ukrainians who fled their country, reports Moldova 1 TV.
Victoria Baibuza, a well-known chef from Odessa, was the one who prepared the dishes with a lot of love, and the dinner included five dishes that reflected the culinary traditions of the region. Victoria owns four restaurants in Odessa, and with the outbreak of war, the woman took refuge in our country.
The woman has been in the Republic of Moldova for more than a month. She plans to return to Odessa in a few days, and has organized a charity evening to support her compatriots. " The money from the tickets will go to my compatriots. I am very happy that people have gathered, they are interested to know the cuisine of Odessa and the traditional Ukrainian dishes ", said Victoria Baibuza, chef from Ukraine.
"It's very interesting to discover a new dish, with a menu created by a chef and at the same time helping an important cause."
"We came to support the refugees and get to know the gastronomy of Odessa."
"I have not traveled to Odessa for a long time and I miss it. It seems to me that tonight will bring back some memories. "
The guests also had a presentation of wines that were chosen for the gastronomic menu by the founder of a winery in the Republic of Moldova.
"We are going through a difficult time in our lives and we reacted immediately to this challenge because we also support the people of Ukraine. We have young wines from the 2021 harvest", said Arcadie Fonea, owner of the winery.
A ticket to participate in the gastronomic evening "From Odessa with love" cost 590 lei. The money was donated to the Migration and Asylum Office in support of Ukrainian refugees.
