38 countries to participate in Eurovision Song Contest 2025

EBU and Swiss public broadcaster SRG SSR have published the list of 38 competing countries and their broadcasters. This is the highest number of participants since 2022, as Montenegro came back after a two year break.

This is the lineup of  each participating country and its broadcaster:

Albania (RTSH), Armenia (AMPTV), Australia (SBS), Austria (ORF), Azerbaijan (İctimai), Belgium (VRT), Croatia (HRT), Cyprus (СyBC), Czechia (ČT), Denmark (DR), Estonia (ERR), Finland (YLE), France (FT), Georgia (GPB), Germany (ARD/VDR), Greece (ERT), Iceland (RÚV), Ireland (RTÉ), Israel (Kan), Italy (RAI), Latvia (LTV), Lithuania (LRT), Luxembourg (RTL), Malta (PBS), Moldova (TRM), Montenegro (RTCG), The Netherlands (AVROTROS), Norway (NRK), Poland (TVP), Portugal (RTP), San Marino (SMRTV), Serbia (RTS), Slovenia (RTVSLO), Spain (RTVE), Sweden (SVT), Switzerland (SRG SSR), Ukraine (Suspilne), Great Britain (BBC).

Romania will not participate in Eurovision Song Contest 2025. In January 2024, The Administration Council of Romanian Television Society (SRTV) announced the withdrawal from the 68th competition due to "financial constraints and the desire to represent Romania at a high level".

The first National Selection was held on November 27 when Montenegro has chosen their song for Basel. After several discussions between the winning band NeonoeN and public broadcaster RTCG regarding the eligibility of the song,  band members dropped out of the competition. The runner-up in the Montesong national selection, Nina Žižić, will represent Montenegro with her song "Dobrodošli".

The allocation draw will be held on January 28. Countries from the Big Five (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Great Britain) and host Switzerland automatically qualify for the final.

At the 69th edition of the music competition, Moldova will compete for the 20th time since its debut in 2005. The best result was recorded in 2017, when the Sunstroke Project band came third with the song "Hey Mamma".
