A commemorative plaque "Petre Teodorovici" will be installed in Chisinau

A commemorative plaque will be installed on the facade of the house in the capital where the composer Petre Teodorovici lived. A decision in this regard was approved by the Government, reports MOLDPRES.

According to the Ministry of Culture, the unveiling of the commemorative plaque aims to perpetuate the memory of Petre Teodorovici, composer and performer of light music, Master Emeritus in Arts, holder of the "Glory of Work" order.

The decision was approved at the proposal of the Ministry of Culture, presented based on the decision of the Chisinau Municipal Council. Thus, the commemorative plaque "Petre Teodorovici" is to be installed on the facade of the house in Vasile Alecsandri str., no. 19 from the municipality of Chisinau.

The late composer wrote songs based on the verses of the poets Grigore Vieru, Dumitru Matcovschi, Anatol Ciocanu, Simion Ghimpu, Ion Hadârcă. The songs composed by Petre Teodorovici enjoyed popularity on the big stages at music festivals in Argentina, Cuba, Finland, Italy, Romania, Russia, Slovakia.

The composer Petre Teodorovici was born on May 18, 1950 in the city of Leova. He died on July 5, 1997 in Chisinau and was buried at the Central Cemetery on Armeneasca Street in the capital.
