Belarus reconfirms its support for economic cooperation with Moldova
The Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Anatol Usatîi met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus in Moldova, Serghei Ciciuc. The main topics of discussion were about the rehabilitation and construction of roads in Moldova, development, maintenance and modernization of the road sector, as well as the increase in the export of agricultural products.
Anatol Usatîi ensured the continuity of implementing initiatives in terms of developing commercial-economic relations between the two countries and continuation of the projects that promote the export of Moldovan products on the Belarussian market and attracting Belarussian investments in the country's economy.
In turn, the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus in Chisinau, Serghei Ciciuc, thanked the Minister Anatol Usatîi for openness and said that our country can count on a reliable collaboration with Belarus.
The meeting also approached the organization of the Moldo-Belarussian intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation, due in Minsk.
During the meeting, a review was made on the current situation of economic relations between Moldova and Belarus. The amount of foreign trade of Moldova with the Republic of Belarus, in January - September 2019, amounts to 157, 18 million US $, registering a slight decrease of 0.12%, compared to the same period of 2018.
