Constantin Borosan: The delivery of electricity from the exchange energy in Romania has started

The delivery of the electricity purchased by Energocom from the operator of the electricity market in Romania began today, said on his Facebook page, the state secretary at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Constantin Borosan.

The amounts of electricity vary between 20 MW and 125 MW. According to the official, during peak hours the price is about 5.5 times higher, therefore it is important to continue to reduce electricity consumption, especially during peak hours.

Electricity was purchased on the Next Day market segment. The purchase is made one day before the physical delivery of the energy. Currently, 340 participants are registered on this market, of which over 100 are energy producers. Constantin Borosan states that each of them are potential sources of energy for the Republic of Moldova today.

"The PZU market in Romania has a share of about 50% of the volume of electricity traded in Romania, being the most liquid market in this sense", says the official.
