Moldovan exports to Morocco on rise in 2018
Cooperation on the commercial-economic dimension between the Republic of Moldova and the Kingdom of Morocco is at an early stage, but there are prospects for enlargement. Several agreements are being negotiated, which will contribute to cooperation with this country, said in an interview Dumitru Socolan, Geneva-based Ambassador of Moldova to the Kingdom of Morocco, Radio Moldova reports.
"Moldovan-moroccan trade is still at an early stage and is making some progress. I would like to mention that, according to NBS data, Moldovan exports to Morocco reached 2.2 million US dollars in 2018, on a rise by 2.5 times compared to the previous year. Also, imports from Morocco amounted to 6.3 million US dollars in 2018, on a rise by 1.3 times as compared to 2017. By volume of trade, Morocco ranks 61 in the list of countries with which Morocco has commercial relations ", said Geneva-based Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the Kingdom of Morocco, Dumitru Socolan.
