In nine months, the incomes of the Customs Service increased by 21.4% compared to the same period last year

Since the beginning of the current year, the Customs Service has collected about 24.5 billion lei from the state budget, an increase of 21.4% compared to the incomes in the same period of 2021.

At the same time, in the period from September 26 to October 2 this year, the incomes of the Customs Service to the state budget amount to over 623.5 million lei, which represents 9.4% compared to the receipts from the similar period of 2021.

According to the institution, the individuals have introduced goods whose value in customs exceeds the non-taxable limit, being collected payments worth more than 6.5 million lei, which represents 2.9% of the total amount collected for the respective period.

The money collected from taxpayers is paid directly into the state budget and redistributed for salaries, infrastructure development, social projects, etc.

Also, during the past week, 11,652 customs declarations were completed, and the flow of means of transport constituted 96,284 crossings.
