Annual inflation in the Republic of Moldova exceeded 34 percent

Inflation in the Republic of Moldova reached 34.29 percent. Bills and food products have become more expensive, Radio Moldova reports.


According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in the last 12 months average consumer prices have increased for food products by over 38 percent, non-food goods by over 23 percent and services provided to the population by over 45 percent.

The most price increases, in August compared to July, were recorded for chicken eggs - by over 17 percent, fruits and sugar - by 4 percent, bread made from wheat flour, milk.

The services provided to the population have become more expensive. Thus, communal-housing services - by 3.4%, generating an increase in average consumer prices by over 0.3 percent.
