The construction work for the Ungheni-Chişinău gas pipeline continues
The Ungheni-Chişinău gas pipeline is working intensively. The Romanian ambassador to the Republic of Moldova, Daniel Ionita, has published new images from the spot,Moldova 1 reports .
Earlier, the Minister of Economy and Infrastructure, Vadim Brânzan said that the first cubic meter of Romanian gas could reach Chişinău already in February or March 2020.
The pipeline will have a length of 120 kilometers and the capacity to transport annually about one and a half billion cubic meters of natural gas from Romania to the Republic of Moldova.
The company "Transgaz" will invest 93 million euros in this project. The construction of the pipeline is a continuation of the Iasi-Ungheni gas pipeline, inaugurated in 2014. In September last year, Transgaz Romania completed the procurement procedure of the "Vestmoldtransgaz" State Enterprise and thus took over the construction of the Ungheni-Chişinău gas pipeline.
