New prices for gas imports from the Russian Federation
Gas imports from the Russian Federation are about $ 100 more expensive. Moldovagaz predicts that this month a thousand cubic meters of gas will cost $ 647 USD. Gas has risen in price due to fluctuations in European stock markets in December, which are part of the formula for calculating the import price, Moldovagaz chief Vadim Ceban reported for Mesager.
However, the exact price will be announced next week.
In December, the average import price was about $ 550 per thousand cubic meters. The Supreme Security Council examined the situation in the energy sector and recommended that the government ensure uninterrupted gas supplies.
