This year's grape harvest, the smallest in the last decade

This year's severe drought, spring frost and hail have caused the loss of about 30-50% of the grape harvest. The National Office of Vine and Wine, an institution responsible for the development of the wine sector, estimates that the grape fruit could be the smallest in the last decade, Moldova 1 TV reports.

The impact of climate change on the wine sector, but also on the grape harvest, will be presented tomorrow at the national conference of the wine sector. The edition will take place under the title "Harvest 2020: Particularities and capitalization". The event is intended for both winemakers and the general public. The conference will take place on Tuesday, August 25, at 10:00, and will be broadcast live on the Wine of Moldova Facebook page.

In the first seven months of the year, the total amount of wine exports from our country was about 87 million lei.
