New program with the IMF, discussed in Parliament
The prospect of starting a new program with the IMF was discussed during a meeting of the leadership of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and the Delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), led by Ruben Atoyan, on the occasion of IMF mission end to our country.
The president of the Parliament Zinaida Greceanîi, the vice-presidents of the Legislative Alexandru Slusari, Mihail Popşoi and the president of the Economy, Budget and Finance Commission Vladimir Golovatiuc participated in the discussions.
The participants in the discussions examined the measures, including the legislative ones, to be taken for the successful completion of the program.
The purpose of the IMF mission visit to the Republic of Moldova, which has been in our country since January 22, was to analyze the developments in implementing the Moldovan Government's program with the IMF and to identify the medium-term challenges and risks facing the economy of Moldova.
