The Customs Service collected over 1.4 billion lei in the state budget in January

In January 2020, the Customs Service collected, to the state budget, 1.42 billion lei, with over 193 million lei more (about 6%), compared with the corresponding interval of the previous year. During the mentioned period, 38,932 customs declarations were issued, reports Radio Moldova.

During the past month, almost 500 violations of customs legislation were unveiled. The most common ones refer to the exceeding of the term of staying in the Republic of Moldova of the cars with foreign registration number plates. The Customs Service also found a breach of the terms of transit or submission of the customs declaration, non-declaration or inauthentic declaration of consumer goods.

Fines amounting to 1.3 million lei were applied during the above-mentioned period.

In the first month of the year, the most visited customs posts were Leuseni and Sculeni.
