Termoelectrica launched the tender for the procurement of 20,000 tons of fuel oil
By derogation from the provisions of the Law on procurement in the energy, water, transport and postal services sectors, Termoelectrica launched the public procurement procedure to ensure the minimum reserve in the amount of 20,000 tons.
"When purchasing the fuel, SA "Termoelectrica" will request offers from potential sellers and will select, through the established purchasing group, the winner/winners based on technical, economic and financial criteria and will conclude the contract(s) for the sale and purchase of the fuel with the selected seller/seller(s), within limited terms, with the possibility of extending them. SA "Termoelectrica" will be guided by the criterion of the lowest price for the selection of the winning offer/offers", the "Termoelectrica" press release states.
According to the cited source, representatives of the National Anticorruption Centre, the Intelligence and Security Service and the General Prosecutor's Office will be invited to the acquisition group as observers.
It should be mentioned that the storage capacity in the state reserve is 45,000 tons.
To produce electricity and heat in the municipality of Chisinau, "Termoelectrica" needs over 200,000 tons of fuel oil, between October and April.
Previously, Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spînu declared that our country contracted a $300 million loan from the EBRD for gas storage and fuel procurement.
