Government earmarks another 22 million lei to the CEC for organizing the electoral election

The Cabinet of Ministers voted today in a Government meeting, the allocation of the amount of 22,468.0 thousand lei to the Central Electoral Commission for the organization and conduct of early parliamentary elections.

"Through this we honored the Government's commitment to the CEC that the money that the CEC spent was transferred to the CEC account," said interim Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi.

The money will be used to cover expenses for the payment of election officials' allowances.

Previously, the Government transferred another 70 million lei to the CEC account, from the Government's reserve fund.

The early parliamentary elections took place on July 11, 2021.
