PETRA - a Moldovan singer qualified for the final of Eurovision Romania

The semifinal of the Eurovision Romania national team took place with a live show. Petra, a young singer from the Republic of Moldova, is among the ten finalists who will compete for a ticket to the international stage of the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC). The announcement was made by the Jury at the end of the first show of the 2022 National Team, on Saturday evening, February 12.

According to the decision, the finalists of Eurovision Romania are: Alex Parker & Bastien - "All this love", Andrei Petruş - "Take me", Cream, Minodora and Diana Bucşă - "My Romania", Dora Gaitanovici - "Ana", Gabriel Basco - " One night ”, Kyrie Mendél -“ Hurricane ”, MØISE -“ Guilty ”, Petra -“ Ireligios ”, Vanu -“ Never give up ”, and WRS -“ Llamame ”.

The winners will compete in the grand final of Eurovision Romania which will take place on Saturday, March 5, in a show broadcast live on the Public Broadcaster.

The Eurovision Song Contest is one of the most important international music competitions organized by the EBU - the largest public television association in Europe. The show is one of the longest-running and most watched television programs in the world, being broadcast in Europe as well as in Australia, Asia and the United States. ESC has been running every year since 1956.
