The famous billionaire, Olivier Dassault, died in a helicopter accident
French billionaire politician Olivier Dassault, one of the heirs of the Dassault aviation group - the maker of Falcon, Mirage and Rafale planes - lost his life Sunday night in a helicopter crash during a private flight near Deauville, Agerpres reports. citing AFP and Reuters.
Deputy Olivier Dassault was the son of Serge Dassault, a well-known aviation and armaments industrialist.
According to sources close to the investigation, the helicopter pilot also died in the accident. Other people were not on board the helicopter. Lisieux prosecutor Delphine Mienniel confirmed to AFP the deaths of Olivier Dassault and the pilot, traveling to the scene of the accident.
Several personalities, including French President Emmanuel Macron, paid tribute to the son of Serge Dassault, former owner of the Dassault aviation group who died in 2018, and nephew of Marcel Dassault, the group's founder, considered the owner of one of the largest fortunes from France.
