China: A plane caught fire after getting off the runway (VIDEO)
A Chinese Tibet Airlines plane went off the runway, after which it caught fire at Chongqing International Airport in southwest China. 40 passengers suffered. The aircraft was to fly to Lhasa, Tibet (southwest), Digi24.ro reports.
"All the passengers and crew were evacuated safely. The injured passengers are in hospital for treatment, "said Tibet Airlines.
The fire broke out after a failed take-off and after the plane went off the runway, according to Aeronews, which states that all the people on board were evacuated. There were 113 passengers and nine crew members on the plane.
The airline said the passengers and crew were safe.
