Maia Sandu spoke with Roberta Metsola about the difficult energy situation in the Republic of Moldova

The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, today spoke on the phone with the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola. The president communicated about the difficult energy situation and the economic implications of the war that significantly affect the population.

According to a press release from the Presidency, the parties also discussed the actions the authorities are undertaking to fulfill the country's commitments in the process of joining the European Union.

President Maia Sandu thanked for the support offered in recent months by the European partners and expressed confidence that our country will continue to be supported to face the unprecedented energy crisis.
