The candidacies of five ambassadors of the Republic of Moldova, approved by the Government

The government approved the candidacies of five ambassadors of the Republic of Moldova to Canada, Qatar, Sweden, Israel and Lithuania. These are Sergiu Odainic, Iulian Grigoriţă, Liliana Guţan, Emil Druc and Alexandr Roitman.

Sergiu Odainic has been appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Canada. He is a career diplomat, in the diplomatic rank of minister-counsellor. He has been an employee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration for almost 20 years, and currently holds the position of Acting Secretary General of the MFAEI. Previously, he worked in the diplomatic missions of our country in the United States of America and the Czech Republic.
 
"We have a very active diaspora in Canada and we have new opportunities to work with the Government of Canada and we wish you much success," said Natalia Gavriliţa.

Liliana Guţan's candidacy was accepted as ambassador of our country to the Kingdom of Sweden. She has a career diploma, with 15 years of experience in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. She is currently the head of department at the MFAEI. Previously, he worked in the diplomatic missions of our country in the United States and Greece.
 
 
In the same meeting, the Government approved the candidacy of Iulian Grigoriţă as ambassador of our state in Qatar. Iulian Grigoriţă has 24 years of experience in diplomacy and international relations. He holds the diplomatic rank of Minister Plenipotentiary, and is currently Head of Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. Previously, he worked in the diplomatic missions of our country in Brussels and Germany, he was also a presidential adviser for foreign policy and European integration.
 
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the recall of the current Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Canada, Emil Druc. At the same time, his candidacy was supported for the position of ambassador to Lithuania. He has 30 years of diplomatic experience, and previously worked in the diplomatic missions of our country in France, Sweden and Belgium.
 
Today, during the meeting, the executive approved the candidacy of Alexandr Roitman as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova to Israel. He has almost 10 years of experience in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. He is currently in charge of a.i. at the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Israel. He previously worked in the diplomatic mission of our country in the Russian Federation.
 

The draft decrees are submitted to the president for examination and signing.
