Experts: The decisions from Paris will allow the Republic of Moldova to overcome the ongoing crises

The decisions that will be taken today in Paris will allow the Republic of Moldova to overcome the crises it is facing. Without this aid, our country would hardly face the challenges, experts say, reports Radio Moldova.

According to them, the Support Platform for the Republic of Moldova does not only mean financial assistance but also involves complex discussions in the most important areas for our country.

The Paris edition of the Support Platform for the Republic of Moldova differs from the previous ones, from Berlin and Bucharest, in that it focuses on a pressing problem for our country - energy security - the spokesperson of the Ministry of Business told Radio Moldova Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Daniel Vodă.

"A difference compared to the first and second editions that took place in Berlin and Bucharest, respectively. In the Paris edition, special attention will be paid to the energy field and to increasing the capacities of our country to strengthen its energy resilience", said Daniel Vodă.

For his part, the executive director of the Institute for European Policies and Reforms, Iulian Groza, mentioned that the aid offered through the Support Platform for the Republic of Moldova, unlike the other assistance programs offered by the EU, is aimed at curbing the energy crisis.

"Very important, unlike other support and assistance programs for the Republic of Moldova, is that most of these funds are grants and most of them do not involve conditionalities", said Iulian Groza.

Without this funding, our country would hardly face the challenges. The decisions that will be taken today in Paris will allow the Republic of Moldova to survive, said political commentator Anatol Ţaranu.

"The decisions that will be taken today in Paris will allow the Republic of Moldova to successfully overcome all the challenges that have come upon the Republic of Moldova due to the war in Ukraine. Without this assistance, the Republic of Moldova would hardly make it", declared Anatol Ţaranu.
