Igor Grosu urged the deputies to celebrate Independence Day with the people of the country

The President of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, urged the deputies to celebrate the Independence Day of the Republic of Moldova together with the citizens of the country. The statement was made at the beginning of the extraordinary session of the Legislature, on August 26.

"Tomorrow, August 27, we celebrate the Independence Day of the Republic of Moldova. It is an important day for all of us and I come with an exhortation, so that tomorrow we go to celebrate this event with the people of the country, either in Chisinau, in Bălţi, Ungheni, Comrat, Cahul. Independence Day must consolidate us around a common ideal and the common desire to fully contribute to the development of the country. Cheers, Republic of Moldova!" said Igor Grosu.

TRM.MD recalls that PSRM deputies and the "ŞOR" Party boycotted the Parliament session. The Socialists claim that they will "fight" for the dismissal of the PAS Government.

It should be mentioned that, at the request of the President of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, and in accordance with the Parliament's Regulations, the Legislature met in an extraordinary session, today, August 26.
