Igor Grosu sends condolences on death of European Parliament President David Sassoli
The President of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Grosu, sent a message of condolences in connection with the death of the President of the European Parliament, David Sassoli, reads a communiqué of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.
It is with great sadness that we learn of the death of the President of the European Parliament, David Sassoli.
"I had the honor of meeting him and talking to him two months ago during a visit to Brussels. He was a very good connoisseur and friend of the Republic of Moldova, a devoted European and a great defender of human rights. Smooth road, David-Maria Sassoli," Igor Grosu mentioned in the message.
David Sassoli was born on May 30, 1956. He was an Italian politician and journalist, and became President of the European Parliament in July 2019.
