Maia Sandu gave a speech at the " Crimea Platform" summit
President Maia Sandu gave a speech in online format at the „Crimea Platform” forum. The head of state spoke about the war in Ukraine, noting that injustice cannot be tolerated.
"We are a peaceful people. You cannot have stable regional security in a world where there are no rules. No state will ever feel safe. The EU's decision to grant the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine the status of candidate countries for accession is a historic one. We will not be weak, divided, indecisive and remain in a gray area", declared the head of state.
Maia Sandu reaffirmed the support of the Republic of Moldova for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within the internationally recognized borders, which include Crimea.
We remind you that on August 23, Ukraine organized, online, the second edition of the "Crimea Platform" forum, an international format for consultation and coordination of efforts to liberate the Crimean Peninsula, illegally annexed by Russia in 2014.
