President Maia Sandu spoke with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan
The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, spoke on Monday evening with the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The two heads of state spoke about the security situation in the region and about the management of the large number of refugees who entered the Republic of Moldova.
The head of state stressed that in this major effort our country urgently needs international support. In this context, Maia Sandu thanked the Ankara authorities for the humanitarian aid in the form of foodstuffs and food packages, sent to our country on March 1.
The two leaders also discussed the bilateral agenda between Moldova and Turkey, namely energy and trade and economic cooperation.
