Maia Sandu sums up one year in office: There are no quick solutions, we just need to work harder (VIDEO)

The first year of office is limited to the objectives focused on unblocking financial assistance, reforming the judiciary, fighting corruption, but also ensuring a decent living for the country's citizens. The president Maia Sandu summed up the 12 months of her activity today, in a video, notes TRM.MD.

"On December 24, 2020, due to your vote, I was sworn in as President of the Republic of Moldova. Together, we have accomplished many good things this year, but we have also had some difficult times. Invoices and prices, which have risen due to the pandemic and the economic crisis, are affecting low-income people. I know it's hard. There are no quick solutions for these difficulties. We just need to work harder, better, in all institutions. That's what we're going to do - I start every day with this in mind.

We have to build in Moldova a state with a strong economy, good infrastructure, modern schools and hospitals, a country where you want to live. The first steps have been taken this year, and in the years to come, we will continue to move forward with our colleagues in Parliament and the Government.

We didn't come to politics to steal from you - we came to work for you. After winter, spring always comes. With joint efforts, we can give our country a prosperous present and future. Together we can change for the better our country, the Republic of Moldova ".

On December 24, 2020, Maia Sandu was sworn in as the first woman president of the Republic of Moldova, elected by direct vote with 57.75% of votes.
