After several years spent abroad, the Ţugulschi family returned to the country and started a business
They worked abroad for many years, returned to their homeland and planted an orchard of peaches, apricots and cherries with earned money. It is the success story of the agricultural producers Nicolae and Galina Ţugulschi from Băcioi village, Ialoveni, who, despite the difficulties they face, do not give up and are determined to continue working at home, Moldova 1 reports.
With the money earned abroad, but also with a part borrowed from relatives, Nicolae and Galina Ţugulschi bought in Zîmbreni, Ialoveni, 10 ha of arable land and planted an orchard of peaches, apricots and cherries. The couple is helped by their two children.
"We work the whole family, we insisted on a way to keep the children in the country, because in two it is complicated, with the workers it is very difficult, we have to bring them from other villages. We don't go to the sea, we work all winter, all summer, it's very difficult to keep an orchard in order," the woman claims.
The drought, but also the lack of the sales market gives the producers a lot of trouble.
"Both on the wholesale market and on export if desired, but at very low prices. This year there is a lot of production, there is no export," says the farmer.
However, farmers do not give up and say they want to continue working at home, and their biggest dream would be to benefit from state support for the installation of an irrigation system in the orchard.
"I have what I have, I invest it back, you look you need a disk, a sprinkler, the tractor breaks down, expensive diesel, pesticides - it's still expensive, but for us it brings us pleasure and satisfaction that people come to us and eat a good product, it encourages us, and we live with it. Because we want to stay at home and work and live, because I love my country," said Galina Ţugulschi.
Due to the fact that the orchard is located right next to the road, a large part of the fruit is sold by the producers right from the spot.
