Gagauzia: Fountain in Besalma was renovated

After a break of more than 20 years, the fountain in the locality of Beşalma in the Gagauz autonomy was renovated. After finishing the works for the arrangement of the park, the authorities bet that the area will become a tourist and entertainment attraction, but also a symbol of the locality, it will function in the summer period as well, Moldova 1 TV reports.

The fountain was built during the Soviet period in the center of the village, but due to engineering errors, it operated for only a few days, after which it was closed for technical reasons.

VOX: "It's great for the town. In particular, during the summer, the inhabitants come here to rest. "It's a place where you can cool off, where you can go for a walk with friends. It is really necessary in such a beautiful village ".

" The children are coming here on holiday. "

" Children come on holiday, we come here with them ". "After hours we come here to the fountain, sometimes we play and splash water."

The renovation is due to the citizens, who have submitted several requests.

Valerii Moş, mayor Beşalma: “The children's playground has been repaired, and for next year we plan to arrange the park nearby, to cover the sidewalk with pavement. We would like it to be a popular resting place for local people ".

For the restoration of the fountain, from the local budget, 230 thousand lei were allocated, and 40 thousand lei were obtained within a project.
