Cahul district has a new president
Nicolae Dunas was appointed president of Cahul district. The decision was approved by the Cahul District Council, in today's meeting, May 16, 2022, with the majority of votes. The proposal to appoint a president of Cahul district came from a third of the officials.
He is a district councilor for 2 consecutive terms. During this term, he reached the Cahul District Council on the lists of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), according to the local media.
Nicolae Dunas is a well-known sportsman in Cahul district and he is the founder of the first taekwondo club in the district.
At the same time, he is an entrepreneur, he manages business in the field of furniture production and agriculture.
We remind you that the current president of the district, Marcel Cenuşa, was present at today's meeting. It is not yet clear when Nicolae Dunas will start performing his duties. At the moment, Marcel Cenuşa is on medical leave, and according to the Administrative Code, the individual administrative act must be notified. At the same time, the decision of the Cahul District Council can be challenged within 10 days, to the Cahul Court.
