Fun activities for International Children's Day, organized in Chisinau

On the occasion of International Children's Day, the authorities of Chisinau have prepared a varied program for the entire day of June 1. Children will enjoy several free fun activities: decorative applications, tourist trolleybus rides, biker rides, animation and creation workshops, puppet shows.

According to the Chisinau City Hall, the excursions with the Tourist Trolleybus start from the Arc de Triomphe and will be organized between 12:00 and 18:00. Boarding the tourist trolleybus will take place on a first-come, first-served basis. The number of seats available for a trip is 22, and children under the age of 7 will be accompanied by their parents.

Also, between 15:00 and 17:00, on Columna Str. between Mitropolit Gavriil Bănulescu-Bodoni and Alexandr Pushkin str., the painting workshop "We paint right on the trolleybus" will take place.

The day will end with a cultural-artistic event with the title "Childhood-sweet dream", on the pedestrian street Eugen Doga.

Moreover, today for children up to 16 years old the entrance to the Zoo will be free. The working hours will be from 8:00 to 20:00. Thus, the local authorities will organize several groups of children to visit the Zoo. For adults, the entrance fee is 30 lei.

The United Nations marks this day on November 20, the date of the adoption of the Declaration of the Rights of the Child in 1959 and the Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1989. In Turkey, International Children's Day was first celebrated on April 23, 1920.
