Alexandru Musteata: Behind the cyber attacks are some special services of other states

Some special services of other countries would be behind the cyber attacks on the Telegram channels of some officials, the director of the Intelligence and Security Service (SIS) Alexandru Musteata said during a show on a private TV channel, Radio Moldova reports.

According to him, these actions would be coordinated, being a special denigration operation.

"There are still many questions about what was published and how real and truthful the information there is, but the very process that happened, the day it happened, the way it was promoted, certain Telegram channels and certain media sources point to some coordinated actions, which from our point of view seem to be a smear operation. After a first analysis, some special services of other states seem to be behind these actions. If the access was done from the server, it is difficult to identify, but if clandestinely, from the phone, any action of this type leaves traces and then we will identify it", said Alexandru Musteaţa.

We remind you that a few days ago, several private conversations of the Minister of Justice, Sergiu Litvinenco, and the adviser to the president on security and defense, Dorin Recean, on Telegram were published in the online environment.

Previously, the account of President Maia Sandu and that of Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spînu were hacked. The Prosecutor's Office has self-reported on this case and announces that the cyber attack on top officials in our country will be investigated by the Prosecutor's Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Cases.
