Fines amounting to three million lei, applied for "salary in envelope" in 2018
Fines of about three million lei have been applied last year by tax inspectors for "envelope wages" and "illicit work". During the year, 15 inspections were carried out and 12 employers were sanctioned, Moldova 1 reports.
Another 370 tax visits were consultative in explaining legislation in the field of labor relations. The Fiscal Service finds an increase in the average monthly salary from 5,057 lei to 5,784 in January - December 2018.
According to the data presented above, in the year 2017 due to the actions undertaken with the purpose of voluntary compliance and minimization of the phenomenon of "illicit work" and the practice of "salary in envelope" the average salary per employer increased by 43.7%.
