Andrei Spînu: In September, October, all children will go to school, without any kind of online education

"No one wants education to go online. I don't think there is any member of the Government who wants to. In September, October, all children will go to school, without any kind of online education. I think in November, the same. A crisis situation may arise, and if a crisis situation arises, we will come up with certain decisions depending on the situation. Also, we have many schools that have alternatives for gas, which will certainly not switch to online education", said Andre Spînu, during the presentation of the activity report over the course of a year.

Referring to the achievements of the ministry he leads, Andrei Spînu mentioned that in autumn we will have the first concept of the energy strategy until the year 2050. Spînu said that the law on the diversification of electricity sources and the gas law were voted. "There was a lot of work with civil society and international experts," the minister said.

"We are preparing for the coming winter. Everyone understands that it will be a complicated winter and we do not hide this fact. We have honest and fair communication with the citizens", said Andrei Spînu, mentioning the signing of a 300 million euro loan agreement with the EBRD, which will allow us to replenish our gas stocks. "We already have 24 million cubic meters of gas stored in Romania", stated the deputy prime minister.

He mentioned that investments are being made in energy efficiency and in renewable resources - in the next period, photovoltaic panels with a capacity of over 120 MWt will be installed, which represents 15% of the electricity requirement.

"We have definitively switched to digital terrestrial television. I went and put up an antenna personally", said Andrei Spînu.
