From today, students returned to the school after the Easter holidays

The students returned to school today after the Easter holidays. The lessons will be done with the physical presence in the educational institutions, but the anti-epidemic measures will remain in force. The schools with large classes will operate in two shifts, announced the interim head of the Education, Youth and Sports Department of Chisinau City Hall, Andrei Pavaloi, at the weekly meeting of the municipality. The decision follows the analysis by the Extraordinary Municipal Public Health Commission of the epidemiological situation in the country, reports Moldova 1.

Enthusiastic and eager to go back to school, to sit on the bench, to see their colleagues and teachers again. These are the feelings of the students from the Theoretical High School "Mihai Viteazul" from the capital.

And because there are only a few weeks left until the graduation exams, students in the final grades will have to work hard to recap the subject studied over the years.

"At the age when the students are already in the 12th grade, they adapt on the go to all conditions, especially since we have been in a pandemic for a year now, but until the Easter holidays we also studied with physical presence. Students prepare for the baccalaureate exam. They are really proud and happy that they will take exams," mentions the mathematics teacher Rodica Cormei.

Extracurricular activities also take place with physical presence. However, sports competitions can only be organized outdoors.

"The physical activity of the youth centers in Chisinau resumed with the physical presence, but of a number not exceeding 20 young people and again with strict observance of the norms regarding the spread of COVID-19", underlined the interim head of the Education Department, Youth and Sports of Chisinau City Hall, Andrei Pavaloi.

The next holiday for students is the summer vacation, which will begin on May 31, after the end of the school year. Subsequently, students in the ninth and twelfth grades will take high school and high school graduation exams.
