Managers of hospitals will be appointed based on contests
Managers of hospitals will be appointed just based on contests. The Ministry of Health is preparing a new regulation for this purpose, that will be submitted next week for public consultations, Mesager reports.
Health Minister Ala Nemerenco said for a private TV channel that competitions with a single candidate will no longer be accepted and very strict selection criteria will be introduced..
"In addition, the managers of hospitals will not be able to continue their activity in the surgical field. They will have to choose either professional activity or managers", said Nemerenco.
At present, one third of the hospitals in Moldova do not have directors.
