Two thousand anti-hail missiles arrived in Moldova
Two thousand long-range anti-hail missiles arrived in Moldova. The new batch was imported from the Russian Federation, and today it will be distributed to the 132 launch points in the country. Minister of Agriculture, Nicolae Ciubuc, says the acquisition was necessary to protect crops in danger because of the hailstorms that are becoming more and more frequent, reports Radio Moldova.
The missiles were taken by air and transported to the special unit in Corneşti, Ungheni district.
The first anti-hail missiles will reach the special units in Edinet, Falesti and Soroca.
Only in May, over 3,600 anti-hail missiles were launched across the country.
For the procurement of the two thousand projectiles, 12 million lei were disbursed, money allocated from the state budget. Soon, the authorities will also get 2,500 short-range anti-hail missiles from Bulgaria. In total, for this year, the Government has allocated 40 million lei for this purpose.
