Traffic on the national roads is carried out in satisfactory conditions

The traffic on the national roads is taking place in satisfactory conditions, reads an informative note of the State Road Administration (ASD), Radio Moldova reports.

The last night, in the northern area, there was low rainfall in the form of snowfall, forming ice, while in the center and south there was no precipitation.

Thus, 108 units and 197 workers intervened on the roads, spreading over 1,000 tons of anti skid substances.

All high-risk sectors are permanently monitored by road administrators who are ready to intervene if needed.

In this context, ASD urges traffic participants to comply with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulations in force, especially those related to the endowment of cars and driving in winter time.

In the capital, at this time, the traffic is carried out without certain difficulties. Following the precipitation in the form of snow and drizzle these days, officials from Chisinau municipality intervened on several streets in the capital and in the block backyards.

"Overnight into Sunday, we intervened throughout the city, especially in the high altitude places: the streets Studentilor, Sadoveanu, Dumeniuc and Grenoble to Mioriţa, the part from the South Bus Station. Some 221 sanitation workers were involved, who cleaned the waiting stations and sprinkled seven tons of salt and three tons of calcium chloride. Overnight into Monday, 370 workers were involved. Sixty four tonnes of salt and 3.5 tonnes of anti skid liquid have been distributed in for block backyards and sidewalks. We are still working at bus stations, garbage platforms to clean all the places off ice,” the General Directorate for Housing and Communal Development, Ion Burdiumov, told the City Hall meeting.
