Prices of fruit trees on a rise by about 20%

We are in full tree planting season, from year to year, there are fewer and fewer people who tend to enrich their gardens with different fruit trees. Traders say this year prices have increased by almost 20 percent. The few buyers, although they know that now is the best planting period, limit themselves to what is strictly necessary, reports Moldova 1.

Olga Meriuţă from Causeni district has been growing fruit trees for 45 years. The woman says she sells quality planting material.

"I deal with all kinds of plum, peach, sour cherry, cherry, very good varieties, ziziphus ".

Growers say that early fall is the best time to plant trees and shrubs.

"The tree overwinters in the ground, best to plant. Sales a little weaker".

"We sell mostly decorative trees, we have a household with decorative trees."

People say that this year they only buy what is strictly necessary because the prices are higher.

"We bought fruit trees and roses. Cherry, apricot and plum";

" The earth is wet and it is good to plant trees".

"Autumn, autumn is the best period for planting. - How are the prices? - Normal, 50 lei".

At Piaţa Avicola in Carbunarilor str. in Chisinau, the prices of fruit trees vary between 40 and 50 lei.
