The reform of the public administration in the Republic of Moldova will start in 2023

The reform of the public administration in the Republic of Moldova will be carried out in the next eight years, starting in 2023, according to Radio Free Europe.

In this sense, the Cabinet of Ministers is preparing the reform strategy for the years 2023-2030.

The executive did not specify what the estimated costs of the reform will be, but mentioned that it presented to the development partners with "the necessary support for the reform of the public administration and the management of public finances."

According to the Government, the document will focus on five areas of interventions: the management of the public function; public entities; the substantiation, coordination and implementation system of public policies and strategic planning; digitization of public services, simplification and de-bureaucratization; local public administration.

The Secretary General of the Government, Dumitru Udrea, said during the meeting of the working group for public administration reform, attended by representatives of the Dutch and Swedish embassies, that the Chisinau authorities count on the support of external donors.

The Chisinau Government's "vision" to create, "at all levels, an efficient, citizen-centered public administration" will be presented on November 21, in Paris, at the third Ministerial Conference within the Support Platform of Republic of Moldova – an initiative of Germany, France and Romania.
