The Republic of Moldova and Ukraine will boost cooperation at the common border

The customs authorities of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine will boost cooperation along the lines of special investigation subdivisions, in order to combat risks at the common border, such as drug trafficking, illegal migration, arms and ammunition trafficking and smuggling. This was discussed by the head of the Border Police, Rosian Vasiloi, together with the head of the Southern Regional Directorate of the State Border Service of Ukraine, Serghei Mul, during a working meeting.

Also, the possibility of joint use of the equipment in the endowment to increase the surveillance capacities of the state border was discussed.

The parties noted that, despite the challenges faced by the border authorities as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the organized evacuation of refugees from Ukraine was managed and the situation at the border was kept under control.
