Turkey has confirmed that it accepts Moldovan citizens with expired passports

In addition to the 18 countries, Turkey has also confirmed that it accepts Moldovan citizens with expired passports, announced the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, quoted by Radio Moldova. Passports with an extended validity period can only be used in states that have confirmed this.

Until now, Moldovans can travel with expired passports to Turkey, Latvia, State of Israel, the Russian Federation, Armenia, Estonia, Azerbaijan, Croatia, Ireland, Ukraine, Lithuania, Serbia, Georgia, Portugal, Slovakia, Turkmenistan, Belarus, Italy and Canada.

We remind you that the validity period of the passports of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova that expired between January 1, 2020 or will expire until December 31, 2022 is automatically extended. Their validity is extended until June 30, 2023. This decision was taken due to the lack of blankets for completing new documents.
